Dear Friend of St. Jude,

The readings in this third week of Advent speak to us about waiting and preparation for Jesus. The first reading recounts the joy that will come, while the second reading tells us, “You too must be patient.”

In the Gospel, Jesus praises John the Baptist. John stood strong in the face of persecution supported by his trust in God.

We pray together: Make me worthy, St. Jude, to serve others throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger.
