Our reflection from this week’s Gospel is:

“For whoever is not against us is for us.”

The disciples were suspicious of the person performing spiritual work in the name of Jesus. However, Jesus rebukes them for their envy because it is the opposite of love. The love of Christ not only frees us from envy and jealousy but also compels us to give generously, especially to those in need.
