The king in this week’s Gospel parable became upset that many of those invited to his party did not attend and those that did come did not wear appropriate attire. How many times have we received God’s call but had something better to do? How many times have we done something simply because we had to, but without any enthusiasm, love, sincerity, or trust? We must strive to attend God’s banquet with profound loyalty and love in response to the inspiring love we are given and not allow ourselves to give any less.

We pray together: St. Jude, help me recognize all of the love God has blessed me with and to answer His call.
