Our reflection from the Gospel this week is:
“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus travels to the River Jordan to be baptized. His cousin John tries to prevent Him; after all, should the Son of God need baptism? Yet Jesus chooses to be a model of humility. Jesus’ baptism is the acceptance of His Father’s will.
