On Sunday we began Advent, waiting for the arrival of Jesus in our lives. If we wait routinely, it is possible we will not recognize Him. How can we be vigilant? By being alert to the people in our surroundings, listening to our spouses and children, putting care into our jobs, treating everyone with kindness, and working for justice for people in the community.

We pray together: Help me be alert, St. Jude, as I wait for the coming of the Christ child this Advent season.
