St. Jude Journal – October 2024
When someone we love dies, we celebrate their life and remember the love and life we shared with them. We are grateful for the time we had together and for the memories they left that continue to enrich us, even as we work through our grief.
We ask God for additional grace and strength to support us during this difficult time. In our devotion to St. Jude, we ask the Patron Saint of Hope for his intercession on behalf of our deceased, as well as on our behalf as we adjust to a new reality.
To honor all the faithfully departed, we will celebrate the St. Jude Novena for All Souls, October 20—28, at the National Shrine of St. Jude. This Novena is an opportunity for focused prayer for all our family and friends who have died, and for our intentions and petitions of gratitude to St. Jude.
Remember your loved ones in this Solemn Novena by including them in your petitions. We will place them at the altar of St. Jude at the National Shrine, where they will be remembered in our Masses and prayers throughout the Novena.
May God bless you with comfort and peace.
