St. Jude Journal — October 2020

The loss of someone we love often leaves us with a complex range of emotions and thoughts. Along with our loss, we are grateful for the unique gift the person was in our life. We celebrate the rich memories; recalling these with others is often an important part of our healing and acceptance.

The death of someone close leaves us in need of renewed hope and additional strength from God. In memory of all the departed faithful, we will be celebrating a Solemn Novena to St. Jude for All Souls, October 24th—November 1st, at the National Shrine of St. Jude. October 28th is the Feast of St. Jude, when we offer our gratitude for all the blessings and strength we have received through St. Jude’s intercession.

To include your departed loved ones in our Novena prayer, please send your petitions and we will deliver them to the altar of St. Jude at the National Shrine to be remembered in our Masses and prayers during the Novena.

Any support you can share with us—whether in prayers for our work or financial support—makes a difference in the lives of the people we serve in communities with great need.

Thank you for sharing in Novena prayer for all who have died. May God bless you with comfort and peace.
