Prayer to St. Jude
Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hope.
Please intercede on my behalf. Make use of that particular privilege given to you to bring hope, comfort, and help where they are needed most.
Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven as I work with my challenges. I praise God with you and all the saints forever.
I promise, blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen.
Meet the Co-Directors of the National Shrine of St. Jude
Every six years, Claretian priests and brothers undergo a review process where their performance and community needs are evaluated. Based on this, leaders within the order propose new assignments.
As part of this process, we're excited to announce that Fr. Byron Macias, CMF, and Fr. Agustin Carrillo, CMF, have been appointed as the new Co-Directors of the National Shrine of St. Jude. They assume the position previously held by Fr. Steve Niskanen, CMF, who served as Director of the Shrine since 2018.
Fr. Agustin Carrillo, a Chicago native, grew up attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, which is home to the National Shrine. He is thrilled to return to his roots. Fr. Byron Macias is also familiar with the Shrine, having previously served at the parish for three years. Both have deep personal connections to St. Jude.
Together, Fr. Byron and Fr. Agustin will lead the Shrine, bringing their unique talents and a shared vision for growth and spiritual enrichment. We are confident that under their leadership, the Shrine will continue to be a beacon of hope for all who seek St. Jude's intercession.
