Celebrate Giving Tuesday with the Shrine of St. Jude
Founded in 1929 by the Claretian Missionaries, the National Shrine of St. Jude and the St. Jude League bring together hundreds of thousands of devotees in a community of prayer and hope.
The Claretian Missionaries came to Chicago in 1924, established the National Shrine of St. Jude at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, and began the St. Jude League in 1929 to foster devotion to St. Jude, Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes. To this day, the faithful around the world send the Claretians their stories of hope and their special intentions. They also flock to Solemn Novenas to St. Jude, which take place five times each year at the National Shrine of St. Jude on Chicago's South Side.
Any Giving Tuesday donation allows the Claretians to spread devotion and the hope of St. Jude in more than 60 countries. The Claretian mission is to minister among those in need to provide healthcare, housing, spiritual guidance for families and youths—and to pass on a living faith to future generations. We thank you for your continued devotion to St. Jude, the patron saint of difficult cases, and for joining with us in our unending prayer: St. Jude, Pray for Us!
