I am sending this to all my “Prayer Warrior” friends. Please share with any “Prayer Warriors” that you know.

My older brother was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about 35 years ago. This insidious disease ruined his original kidneys. He underwent a kidney transplant about 16 years ago and the donor kidney allowed him to live about as normal a life as possible given the huge amount of anti-rejection meds he took and the fact that he was still a Type 1 diabetic. It took the disease about 14 years to destroy the donor kidney. Along the way he lost part of his right leg below the knee, he is now legally blind and he must attend 4 1/2 to 5 hour Hemo -dialysis treatments three days per week. Meanwhile, the diabetes marches on requiring insulin several times per day and a rigid lifestyle to keep his blood sugar under some semblance of control.

He hadn’t felt very well after his dialysis session on Saturday but with his multiple problems that is not very unusual. When his home healthcare nurse arrived this morning she thought he should be transported to the hospital immediately. Once there he was tested and found to be positive for COVID-19. Just what he needed given all of his issues.

I don’t know what to pray for because it is hard for me to think that all of his problems were God’s will. I pray that God will be merciful and not allow him to suffer.
