Providing Hope during challenging times

National Shrine of St. Jue during COVID-19

As we navigate the uncertainty, fear, and anxiety the Coronavirus brings us, the health and safety of our loved ones, neighbors, friends, and ourselves is of our utmost priority.

Although the Shrine is temporarily closed to visitors due to COVID-19, the National Shrine of St. Jude remains a unique oasis of hope, just as it has for over 90 years. Your petitions to St. Jude continue to be remembered in the prayers of the Claretians during this time of great need, and are strengthened through the comfort and hope of our powerful patron, St. Jude.

To hope together in community with others is to encourage one another in optimism and faith. With a sense of encouragement guiding us in difficult times, we’re better able to stay positive, to not lose hope, and to give encouragement to others.

Stay connected with the National Shrine of St. Jude faith community and let the hope of St. Jude guide and comfort you by viewing our National Shrine of St. Jude prayers, browse our Reflexiones de fe archive to find introspections that call us to reflect on the range of challenges that come with living as followers of Jesus, and follow us on Facebook, Gorjeo, Instagram, Pinterest, and Youtube to stay up-to-date on the many prayer and devotion opportunities from the Shrine, including live-stream services.

Knowing that each day ahead is precious and in God’s hands, let us offer the following prayer.

Oración a San Judas por la esperanza

God the Father, give me hope. Help me to know that your hope is alive in me as I offer kindness, forgiveness, and tenderness to others. I seek the calm that comes from trusting in your hope and your healing presence. I trust that your servant St. Jude walks with me in all the blessings and challenges of my life, and intercedes on behalf of my petitions. St. Jude, fill my heart with hope. Amen.
