We’re excited to share that our National Shrine of St. Jude is featured in a new EWTN series, Hidden Gems: Catholic Shrines in America. The series showcases remarkable shrines across the country, inviting viewers to experience their sacred beauty.
A Rich History of Hope
The story of our National Shrine dates back to 1929, when the people of Chicago gathered for the first Solemn Novena to St. Jude. On that crisp fall night, hundreds filled the newly constructed Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, creating a powerful atmosphere of prayer and hope. Seeking the intercession of St. Jude during difficult times, pilgrims arrived with petitions, a tradition that continues to thrive today.
Experience the Shrine, No Matter Where You Are
We want every devotee of St. Jude to feel connected to the beauty of the Shrine, whether or not you can visit in person.
